Introduction to basic care and handling of common domestic companion animal species, handling and restraint, nutrition, reproductive processes, anatomy and physiology, diseases and animal/human companionship issues will be stressed. Recommended: Reading Level 5 or 6. Hours: 54 lect, 54 lab. Field trips required. CCS: Occupational Education. Transferable: CSU and private colleges. Note: Elective credit only.
