3 units 6 hours weekly Prerequisite: Completion of CG 101/MM 101. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in CG 233L. Advisory: Eligibility for READ 099. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. The course is designed to provide students with an advanced knowledge of electronic publishing through "hands-on" experience in the use ofcomputer techniques using the Macintosh computer in publishing of newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and books. Students will develop advanced skills in the use of electronic photographic imaging, computer illustration, desktop publishing, HyperCard, and halftone and line photography. (CSU, AVC) ( R2)
