(formerly Instrumental Ensemble- Strings) 1 unit 2 hours weekly Limitation on Enrollment: Audition required. A course designed to study standard string repertoire through rehearsal and performance. The principal goal of the String Ensemble is to develop the student's ability to learn and perform multiple-part string music. Additionally, students receive instruction in music reading, instrumental technique, and the historical and sociological context of the music that is studied. (CSU, UC, AVC) (R3)
