5 unit, 1.5 hours weekly 1 unit, 3 hours weekly Designed for the student who wishes to compete in athletics at the intercollegiate level. Course content will emphasize appropriate tactics, strategy, and techniques to successfully compete in one of the following sports: baseball, basketball, golf, football, soccer, softball, track, or volleyball. It is a comprehensive program based upon gaining knowledge of techniques, rules, game strategy and tactics, player positioning, and response to opponent's actions. Students should have previous organized athletic experience and will enroll in the course that corresponds to their sport participation. (CSU, AVC) ( R3)
