3 units 6 hours weekly Prerequisite: Completion of MM 101/CG 101. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in MM 106L. Advisory: Completion of ART 110, and Eligibility for READ 099. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. This course will focus on the fundamentals of traditional and digital video design, and production for multimedia. The central emphasis of the class will be upon the effective use of specialized software and hardware used to digitally record video images, editing video images using nonlinear techniques, and sound production techniques used for multimedia productions. A strong emphasis will be on the effective creation of a variety of video clips. (CSU, AVC) ( R2)
