(formerly same course as ART 107) 3 units 3 hours weekly Advisory: Eligibility for College Level Reading and ENGL 101. In-depth s tudy of the hi s tor i c a l development of photographic process as an artistic image from the early 1800s to the present. The course will focus on worldwide artistic-photographic and social achievements of photographers. Within the context of the course, the contributions of both chemical and digital photographic techniques will be explored, as well as the relationship of the emergence of photographic imagery to other artistic media within a similar time period. (CSU, UC, AVC)
