(formerly COMM 236/ENGL 267) 4 units 5 hours weekly Advisory: Completion of FTV 101, and Eligibility for College Level Reading and ENGL 101. This course challenges students to consider and analyze the way religious ideas and institutions are presented in contemporary cinema. Students examine the social implications of film on American values and culture. The course demonstrates the power of cinematic images to define, enrich, and sometimes pervert the human experience.
