3 units 3 hours weekly Advisory: Eligibility for College Level Reading and ENGL 101. This course is a study of the history, theory, and practice of the oral art of storytelling. The historical and current practice of the oral tradition will be covered using a multicultural approach. Students will find, prepare, and perform stories from a variety of cultures (e.g., African-American, Native American, Euro-American, African). (CSU, AVC)
