Topics include philosophy and history of fi re protection, fi re loss analysis, organization and function of public and private fi re protection services, fi re departments as part of local government, laws and regulations affecting the fi re service, fi re service nomenclature, specifi c fi re protection functions, basic fi re chemistry and physics, introduction to fi re protection systems, and introduction to fi re strategy and tactics.
