Prerequisite: BIOT 305 with a grade of "C" or better.Course Transferable to CSU Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB This course introduces computation concepts and methods used in bioinformatics. It addresses issues in genomics and proteomics, such as sequence alignment, gene recognition and regulation, and protein modeling. The course examines software and programming tools used to access and manipulate biological database information, especially nucleic acid and protein data.
