GER: HB (Empirical Study of Human Behavior) Prerequisite: PSY-111 and a course in mathematics Introduction to the principles of science, research design, data collection with animals and humans, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. Designed to acquaint students with the scientific methods used to study behavior; covers the fundamental methodological, statistical, and writing skills necessary for most advanced psychology courses. Lab work, computer analysis of data, and written reports of laboratory projects are integral to the course. 4 credits.
