GER: TA (Critical, Analytical Interpretation of Texts) Prerequisite: any first year writing seminar Works by at least a half-dozen prominent poets will be read, analyzed, and evaluated. Although prosody, poetic theory, and the development of modernism will be covered, major emphasis will be on the aesthetic qualities of individual poems and the distinctive sensibilities of individual poets. May satisfy the pre-fall 2008 general education requirement in upper-level humanities. 4 credits.
