Prerequisites: DHYG 1100, DHYG 1120, DHYG 1220 This course provides an opportunity for the beginning dental hygiene student to gain knowledge and skills in the delivery of patient care for which the dental hygienist is responsible. Emphasis is placed on the development of cognitive and psychomotor skills in the areas of dental hygiene instrumentations, patient rapport/communication, oral disease control, treatment planning and patient management.
