The definition and creation of object-oriented vector graphics will be the focus of this course as well as the exploration of the role of an illustrator. Students will learn how to master basic techniques of creating an original piece of digital art in Adobe Illustrator. Studies in advertising along with the integration of creative copy, the use of typography and creative problem solving will be emphasized. The course objective is to have students develop a variety of multi-colored visual projects that emphasize creativity and problem solving for inclusion in a portfolio. S (S)
