This course describes the architecture, components and operation of routers and switches. Students analyze, configure, verify and troubleshoot the primary routing protocols RIPv1, RIPv2, EIGRP and OSPF. The course also explains how to configure switches for basic functionality and how to implement Virtual LANs, VTP and Inter-VLAN routing in a converged network. Wireless networks are also explored. Laboratory exercises will be required. Prerequisite: TE 352 or permission of the instructor. F/S (S)
