This advanced course provides the supervised practice rotation in long term care settings with a focus on the application of the MDS and care planning along with practical application of knowledge presented in Nutrition Care IV. Practice in interviewing, counseling and group nutrition presentations for the geriatric clientele in health facility settings is provided. Calculation and planning practice for more complex dietary modifications is included. This rotation culminates in a capstone activity of assuming the role of a dietetic technician on a full-time basis in a health care facility. Prerequisites: NT 382, NT 383. Co-requisites: NT 384, NT 385. S (N)
