In this survey course, the types of children's literature will be introduced. The importance of literature in the lives of children, the presentation of literature to children and criteria for judging quality in children's literature also will be covered. Students will be required to write a short children's story and to develop a booklist. Prerequisite: EN 110 or EN 120. Cycles (C)
