This course discusses the physical principles related to heating and air conditioning, different types of HVAC (e.g. all air, all water/hydroid) systems, comfort zone, hydronic piping systems, terminal units, furnaces, boilers, combustion, psychrometrics, fluid flow in pipes and ducts, pipe sizing, duct sizing, air conditioning equipment, automatic control, instrumentation, energy utilization/consumption and finally a brief review over the refrigeration theory. Concurrent registration in ME 101, or permission of instructor. F (N)
