The course provides an understanding of public and private retirement plans. The public plans include Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. The private plans include defi ned benefi t and defi ned contribution plans and their regulatory provisions. Additional topics include the issues that individuals face in retirement such as life-style choices and medical issues.
