Prerequisite: ET 301 or ET 302 with a grade of "C" or better.Course Transferable to CSU Hours: 54 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB This course covers UHF, VHF, microwave, satellite, and fi ber optics. AM and FM transmitters, transmission lines, antennas, and receivers are analyzed down to the component level. Propagation, wave theory, decibels, and signal transmission limitations are also covered. Technician safety and proper test equipment use are stressed throughout the course. Field trips are required.
