Prerequisite: Placement through assessment. Advisory: Concurrent enrollment in an ESL Reading and /or Writing course at the student's assessed level. Hours: 72 hours LEC This is a course in listening comprehension and practical conversation for non-native English speakers who plan to take college courses. The sounds of American English, stress, rhythm, and intonation patterns will be introduced. Credit/no credit grading only. May be taken twice for credit.
