It includes discussion of the history of children's literature and of current issues such as censorship, literacy, and multicultural diversity. The course is intended for prospective teachers, preschool teachers, early childhood education (ECE) majors, parents, and anyone who is or will be in frequent contact with children. It includes reading to children in a formal group setting, which may include an off-campus location.
