General Education: AA/AS Area I; AA/AS Area VI; CSU Area C1; IGETC Area 3A Course Transferable to UC/CSU Hours: 54 hours LEC This course surveys the cinematic expression of artists often underrepresented in the main-stream media such as women, Native- Americans, African-Americans, Latinos, Asian-Americans and gays and lesbians. Media stereotypes and the social, political and cultural climate that created them will be covered through fi lms, lecture and discussion.
