General Education: AA/AS Area I; CSU Area C1 Course Transferable to CSU Hours: 54 hours LEC This is a survey course of historical periods as portrayed through fashion and costumes from the cradle of civilization through modern times. The impact of social, political, cultural and economic issues on costuming is explored, as is the effect of costumes on society. Students integrate design elements with historical styles to create designs for theatrical costumes. AA/AS area B; CSU area C1
