10 units 20 hours weekly Advisory: Eligibility for ENGL 099, READ 099 and MATH 070. Introduction to the theories, principles and techniques of automotive refinishing designed for the student interested in pursuing a degree or certificate in automotive refinishing. Course of study to include: paint shop safety; minor body damage repair; proper surface preparation; use of spray guns and related equipment; proper use of masking materials; choosing and using refinishing solvents and automotive undercoats; color application on automotive panels.
