3 units 6 hours weekly Prerequisite: Completion of ART 110. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in ART 222L. Advisory: Completion of CG 101/MM 101. Instructional materials fee required for this course and must be paid at registration. Introduction to the basic principles, theories, and techniques of drawing and 2-dimensional computer drawing of the human figure using draped and undraped models, a pressure sensitive tablet, and various software drawing and painting programs. Projects emphasize the organization of the human figure in terms of anatomy, composition and skill development as well as individual interpretation. Students may have to purchase additional supplies not provided by the college. (CSU, UC, AVC) ( R1)
