This course introduces students to the field of Criminal Justice through an interdisciplinary treatment of criminal justice agencies and their roles, the history of the criminal justice system, and differing theoretical, legal and philosophical understandings of the concept of criminal justice - from the rehabilitative and punitive, through discussions of more recent work on restorative justice.
