3 units 3 hours weekly Advisory: Eligibility for College Level Reading and ENGL 101, and Eligibility for MATH 070. Designed for students planning to work in early childhood settings, this course focuses on the development of appropriate learning environments, resources, and curriculum strategies for use with infants and toddlers. Students will observe infants and toddlers in home and institutional settings and develop curriculum for use with children from birth to age three. A current TB clearance may be required. This course meets California licensing requirements for the care of infants and toddlers in center-based and family-based child care programs. (CSU, AVC)
