Provides the student with an introductorylevel of knowledge to understand fire ecology, environmental policy, data collection for fuels inventory and fuel treatment processes and methods as they relate to fuel management and fire use in the western United States. Meets basic requirements of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. Intended for students to pursue a career with a wildland fire management agency or for a specialty with a municipal fire control agency. (CSU, AVC)
