3 units 2 hours lecture weekly 48 hours total laboratory Prerequisite: Completion of THA 103. Advisory: Eligibility for College Level Reading and ENGL 099, and Eligibility for MATH 050. A broad based introduction to lighting design, including a review of lighting in stagecraft, the functions of stage light, the design process, script analysis, designing for the proscenium stage, thrust and arena, the light plot, schedules, different control boards, and variations in lighting for different theatrical forms.
