This course provides theory and related clinical practice to assist the student in meeting the acutely ill patient's short and long term needs quickly and to collaborate with patients and other members of the health care team to deliver compassionate care. It addresses nursing care from a physiological, pathophysiology, and psychosocial context and encourages critical thinking. (CSU, AVC)
