Course Transferable to CSU Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB This course covers historical and contemporary approaches to centrifugal casting, mold making, wax patterns, and the aesthetic aspects of metal casting for small scale sculpture and jewelry will be studied. Basic methods and techniques for wax working, kiln burnout, centrifugal casting, vulcanized rubber molds and metal fi nishing will be emphasized. May be taken twice for credit.
