Essential human relations skills and methods of effective tutoring, placing these skills into practice with tutees referred by the Tutor Coordinator. Students may be referred by subject area instructor(s). Prerequisite: Minimum grade of 'B' in thesubject to be tutored or approval of subject area instructor and successful completion of specific training in tutoring methods or evaluation of prerequisite by the Tutor Trainer and/or Tutor Coordinator. Recommended: Reading Level 6. Hours: 9 lect/ disc, 27 supervised tutoring. CCS: Liberal Arts & Sciences. Transferable: CSU and private colleges.
