State law mandates that "every inmate shall have a reasonable opportunity to participate in a full-time credit qualifying assignment consistent with institutional security and available resources." This course is designed for the correctional officer who supervises such inmates. This course meets the training requirements as set forth by the Corrections Standards Authority for counties participating in the Standards and Training for Corrections Program. Hours: 8 lect. Repeat: Unlimited. CCS: Occupational Education. Not Transferable: Not degree applicable.
