Designed for editors of the online and print editions of The Renegade Rip, BC's award winning student-produced college newspaper, Teaches news content analysis, planning and evaluation using critical-thinking skills, story organization, intensive page design, planning and developing style and design of stories, photography, graphics, and art. Includes numerous discussions of ethics, collaboration with staff, and learning editorial leadership, with editors making all policy and content decisions for student-produced print and online media. Recommended: JRNL B2 and concurrent enrollment in JRNL B27a or B27e, Reading Level 5 or 6 and English Level 6. Hours: 18 lect, 126 lab. Repeat: 3. Offered: F, S. CCS: Occupational Education.
