Administering first aid in emergency and accident situations. Includes wounds and their care, shock, artificial respiration, C.P.R., injuries, burns, effects of heat and cold and the transportation of the injured. Upon successful completion, each student will qualify for an American Red Cross Standard First Aid card and an American Heart Association Heartsaver Participation card. Hours: 18 lect/disc. Offered: F, S. CCS: Liberal Arts & Sciences. Transferable: UC, CSU and private colleges.
