Provides laboratory time during which students may obtain hands-on experience practicing ECG dysrhythmia interpretation including sinus rhythm, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, premature ventricular contractions, ventricular tachycardia, ventricular fibrillation, asystole, paced rhythms, and supraventricular tachycardia. Students will refine their abilities to recognize and interpret common and serious dysrhythmias, gain training and practice on a variety of rhythm strips and become effective practitioners of dysrhythmia recognition. Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment in NURS B9 and B9L or evaluation by instructor of student's ECG ability. Hours: 9 by arrangement. Open entry/open exit. Offered: F, S. CCS: Occupational Education. Not Transferable: Not degree applicable.
