An introduction to the scientific study of the biological bases for human thought and behavior. Emphasis placed on functioning of brain structures and brain chemistry in learning, memory, motivation, emotion, sensation, perception, states of consciousness, pain, and psychopathology: other areas include coverage of genetics, the nervous system and its structures and processes, stress and health, and endocrinology.
