An actual clinical and administrative experience for the student outside the classroom/lab setting. Time will be devoted to achieving proficiency in clinical/administrative tasks through exposure to a wide range of duties and interactions with physicians, staff, and patients. The emphasis is on the student performing in a professional environment with strict supervision, under a licensed physician, and performance reports from the clinical sites and instructor. There is no remuneration for the student during this externship experience.
