DesignThis course gives students a basic understanding of lighting design for the stage. It includes hands-on work in such areas as knowledge and application of basic safety rules; use of tools and equipment; basic knowledge of electricity; basic knowledge of lighting instruments and their specific applications; preparation from text of lighting plot; translation of artistic concept to illumination, intensity, color, angle focus, and actualization. Three lecture hours per week. 3 credits Spring
