This introduction to design presents an overview of the relationship between people and their environment, both natural and man-made. The emphasis is on seeing and comprehending the world around us, identifying and discussing the forces of change at work in the environment and clarifying the role of the environmental designer. Supplementing the faculty lectures will be guest lectures and field trips.
