Students will review the various non-custodial alternatives to the correctional system. Topics will include traditional community-based alternatives to prison such as probation and parole. Newer community-based alternatives such as bootcamps, day reporting, forfeiture, intensive supervision and technology-based supervisions will also be examined in the course. (Prerequisite: CRJU-101)
