This lecture course is designed to explore basic concepts of the anatomy and pathology of the periodontium. Classification, etiology and treatment of periodontal disease are discussed in depth using slides, videos and CD-ROM. Correlation of the relationship of the histopathologic changes of the supporting structures of the teeth are integrated through the use of case based clinical situation. (Prerequisites: BIOL 213, ADEC 115 and DENH 123)
