Description:
The purpose of this course is to facilitate transition of returning, transfer, and advanced placement students into the nursing program. The course focuses on the nursing department philosophy, the conceptual framework, the nursing process, and use of the course syllabi. Students are required to successfully demonstrate selected nursing skills to pass the course. In order to be successful in this course, independent study and skills review are strongly recommended. Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisites: Students must have met requirements for transfer or have passed the required challenge examination for advanced placement.
