Basic concepts of soloing in the jazz idiom for instrumentalists. Teach students to interpret chord symbols and understand the sounds that they represent in a meaningful way to create a jazz solo with their instrument. Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: MUS 105 Music Theory I or permission of instructor; May be repeated for credit once.
