Description:
An exploration of the physical therapist assistant’s professional role in the testing and treatment of more complex neurological, orthopedic, medical and surgical conditions. Consideration of psychosocial issues are also discussed. This course is presented in a seminar format of 12 to 15 hours per week for the first 7 weeks of the semester. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: This course may be presented by guest lecturers, and sessions may be held off campus in various health care facilities depending upon the particular topic. Significant preparation time outside of regular class hours is required. Prerequisite- Corequisite Corequisites: PTA 203 Therapeutic Assessment, PTA 220 Clinical Affiliation III, PTA 224 Senior Seminar II
