Overview of the psychology of addictive behavior, psychophysiology of the brain and the addictive process. Addiction to alchohol, illicit drugs, over-the-counter medications, psycho-pharmaceuticals, food, gambling and sex are introduced. The impact of the addictive cycle on the individual, the family, and society as a whole is explored. Prerequisite- Corequisite Prerequisite: PSY 110 General Psychology.
