3 units; 2 hours Lecture, 4 hours Laboratory Repeatability: May be taken a total of 2 times. Prerequisite: ART 5 or equivalent skills. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Introduces moldmaking with an emphasis on constructing armatures, bas-relief, waste, piece and flexible mold types using suitable materials in both positive and negative mode. Presentation of finished sculpture is included as part of the course. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU. Transfers to UC.
