This course introduces students to the processes involved in studying artifacts in the post-excavation phase of archaeological investigation. Topics covered include preliminary curation techniques, stratigraphic sequencing, feature analysis, and the completion of written archaeological reports. Particular emphasis is paid to the notion of ethics and responsibilities underlying archaeological investigation. 3 credits.
