6 units; 6 hours Lecture Prerequisite: ESL 201A or equivalent. A writing preparation class for second language students with an expanded introduction to basic verb tenses and parts of speech. Emphasis will also be placed on the development of vocabulary in speaking and listening skills. Short passages using mostly simple sentences will serve as the focus for written work. May be offered in a Distance- Learning Format.
